Happy Earth Day everyone. It’s such a beautiful time of year here in the Northeast; I hope you are getting to enjoy some time outside.
The flowers are starting to really bloom and the birds are waking me up in the morning! I put out two new birdhouses and have heard a house wren a few different times, but I’m still not sure if they’ve moved in. Yesterday I was excited to see one flitter through my Rosa Rugosa. I’m hoping they decide to move in and stay.
Big news here is that the Northeast Energy Direct-Tennessee Gas pipeline has been halted. Hooray for that! The huge compressor station was going to be @3 miles from my neighborhood. So, I’m feeling extra celebratory and thankful this Earth Day.
I’m going to spend some time laying among the violets in the yard and rejoicing in the sun. I hope you find somewhere to celebrate the earth today.
