I can hardly stand the beauty of the Peonies blooming everywhere right now! They are so lush. The fragrance is so amazing and it’s another one that can’t be bottled so-live it up and stick your face in those blossoms while they are in full bloom!
The Roses are also incredible! Here is my Belle Isis that is bred for fragrance (unlike many of the newer roses that had the fragrance bred out of them in favor of longer blooms. I’d rather smell this one for a week than have a rose with no fragrance all summer!)
The wild and unruly Multiflora Rose is blooming all through the woods and along busy streets. It is invasive, but I’m willing to forgive it for the way it makes the woods smell like Heaven this time of year. Now is the time to “Stop and Smell the Roses!”
