Hope you are well!
Thursday night we took a damp walk at night. It had been a long day and we could have skipped it, but we dragged ourselves out there with the dog and I’m so glad we did!
The peepers have arrived! They were everywhere, mostly quiet-only a few lone peeps here and there but we had a really bright flashlight so we saw them all over the (thankfully) quiet roads. We had to step around them-they were so plentiful. There were spring peepers, leopard frogs, and wood frogs. They sat very still when we shined a light on them and admired their sticky fresh bodies.
We came home to this on our door. It’s grippy toes so intricate and useful.
When I got back inside-I felt refreshed and happy by the world outside. (More on that below…)
